We just wrapped up our Weekly Staff Meeting.
I kick these meetings off with an Icebreaker question.
This weeks Icebreaker: “What was the best concert you’ve ever been too?”
I then jump into Mindset Training.
Today’s Mindset Training was on the only 3 things we need to focus on occurring in our business.
You could call this a “Recipe for Success”. 
If all 3 of these approaches are set in motion then we can have the business of our dreams.
And the first and most important item probably isn’t what you think.
I have seen this “recipe for success” ring true over and over in my businesses.
With being an off-site owner for Gracie PAC.
With coming on board with the Martial Arts Industry Association as their Digital Marketing Consultant.
With launching Jitz University (now Martial Arts Entrepreneurs University).
With operating the A Team Mastermind.
And with being an owner-operator for Grow Pro Agency.
1st – We HAVE to have FUN.
Figuring out how to have fun doing what you are doing is the secret to success in my opinion.
If it’s not FUN…it won’t last.
Think about why people quit our Academies?
The simple answer: It’s because it stopped being fun.
So when was the last time you assessed if your STAFF was having FUN?
Heck – when was the last time you assessed if YOU were having FUN?
2nd – We HAVE to make an IMPACT.
We all know the IMPACT that Martial Arts has had on our lives.
We all can name Instructors whom have forever changed our lives.
That impact that we experience is one of the main reasons we all opened up our Academies.
We didn’t open them because we wanted to be great at marketing and sales.
We opened them because we wanted to make an Impact on our Community.
When we have the desire to make a profound, positive impact upon the world we quickly find the meaning to life.
I think this strategy is one that we all have down pretty well.
3rd – We HAVE to be PROFITABLE.
If we aren’t profitable – we can’t pay the bills.
It’s pretty simple.
There is no reason why you shouldn’t be making a GREAT living doing what you are doing.
You’ve earned it.
You are literally changing people’s lives every single day.Now, let’s think about what happens to a business if they only focus on 2 out of the 3 approaches for success.
If you only focus on having fun and making an impact but aren’t profitable, then the business will no longer exist because you won’t be able to pay the bills.
If you only focus on it being fun and profitable and then there is no “why” to what you are doing…you will feel a lack of progress and fulfillment since you aren’t having an impact on other’s lives.
If you only focus on being profitable and making an impact but not having fun, you are going to get bored, burn out, and have resentment.
I truly believe that focusing on Fun –> Impact –> Profits is the recipe for a successful business.
So ask yourself…
Am I having fun?
Am I making an impact?
Am I profitable?
If the answer is “no” to any of those – it’s time to reassess.
